Dragon Coloring Pages

Seven free dragon coloring pages, all friendly rather than scary, from a baby dragon hatching out of its egg to a big dragon flying over mountains. They run from easy to detailed, each prints on one US Letter page, and the whole set is one PDF.

Cute dragons and big adventures

The hatching baby dragon and the little dragon holding flowers are the easiest: large shapes, round faces. The dragon reading under a tree, curled around a castle tower and toasting marshmallows at a campfire add a setting. The dragon asleep on its treasure and the one flying over the mountains are detailed scenes with lots of small shapes, such as coins, crowns, trees and a winding river.

Scales, wings and color ideas

Dragons can be any color, which is half the fun. Older kids can fill each scale with a pattern of stripes, dots or two alternating colors, and make the wings a lighter shade than the body. The treasure page rewards metallic or yellow crayons.

Printing tips

Open any picture and tap Print: only the picture prints, sized to one portrait page with a white margin, on US Letter or A4. If your phone or browser won’t cooperate, use the PDF instead; it is already laid out as a single US Letter page of black lines on white.
